Do you want to be a millionaire? Of course you do. Having this type of financial freedom is the dream for so many people, but it is often easier said than done. If you want to be a millionaire, you are going to have to be willing to put in the work. You are also going to have to start forming the right habits.

Habits are so important. In fact, one of the main differences between successful individuals and unsuccessful individuals are their habits. Look at today's self-made millionaires. They are typically not extremely smart, nor did they grow up rich, they all just happen to have some of the same positive habits.

If you start diligently adopting certain habits, you can set yourself up to have the work ethic, focus and control that you need in order to be a millionaire. Think about the habits that you have and how the way you are spending your day. If your habits include sleeping in and online shopping during work every day, you probably aren't going to shoot up the corporate latter of success. If eating junk food and spending all day on the couch is a habit, you are probably going to end up over weight. If exercising and measuring out your food so you know you are eating healthy are habits, you are probably going to be fit.

Ultimately, you are the results of your habits.

So if your habits ultimately shape who you are, then it is pretty safe to say that you need to be forming the right habits if you want to be successful and be a millionaire. Here are seven of the habits that most millionaires adopt and ones that can help you transform your financial future and reach the level of success you have always wanted to have.

1.Waking Up Early

This is something that I tell all of my students and anyone who wants to reach a level of financial success. Yes, the old saying "the early bird gets the worm" is rather cliché, but it is true. I promise you. Even if you aren't a morning person, I encourage you to try to set your alarm clock earlier and earlier every morning. Just give it a try. Truly successful individuals will use that extra time in their way to improve themselves. Whether you are exercising, studying, reading, networking or anything else. There is something very powerful about being up before most other people. You can get a lot done and when you spend your morning in such a positive way, that positivity will only filter through the rest of your day.

2.Keeping Track of What You Spend

Do you think the average millionaire got to where they are because they spent their money frivolously? They didn't. You need to keep track of what you spend your money on. Make a budget. Stick to it. Track every dollar you spend and make sure that you know where it is going. Watch the small costs, these are the things that really add up over time. You need to spend a lot of time looking at your money. Get to know your spending patterns and your spending habits so you can manage your money. If you can't manage a little bit of money when you're poor, how are you expected to manage a lot of money when you are rich?

3.Read, Read, Read

I cannot emphasize this point enough. Individuals who have a habit of reading each and every day, tend to be more successful. If you talk to any millionaire, I bet they are readers. You need to read a little bit of everything. Make it a habit to do this every night before bed. Read motivational works, read for fun, read trader biographies, read advice books, read financial news, read on technical analysis. Read, read, read. It will help you become more in tune with the world around you and provide you with valuable insights you can use to build your financial future.

4.Set Measurable Goals for Yourself

If you want to reach financial independence, then you need to have a big goal in mind for your future. You also need to have a lot of little goals that you can meet along the way to help you get there. Financially successful individuals tend to have the habit of setting small, clear and measurable goals for themselves. You need to have clear and tangible goals. You need to track your progress towards those goals, and tweak your approach if your current path isn't working. There is an art to goal setting, and if you can master that art, you can slowly meet all of the little goals set in front of you as you work your way towards becoming a millionaire.

5.Surround Yourself With Millionaires

If you are working towards becoming a millionaire, but haven't quite gotten there yet, one of the best things that you can do it to surround yourself with other millionaires. The people that you surround yourself with are very important to your overall success. If you surround yourself with other millionaires and people who have the type of financial success that you want for yourself, you are only surrounding yourself with inspiration. Having people like this around you can be a great motivator to do more and you can put yourself in touch with role models that can help you achieve your goals. I'm proud to have several millionaire students, but I'm far producer that they want to give back to the community and now give weekly webinars to my other students. These webinars are a way for students all over the world to surround themselves with other successful people. Now that they've proven themselves, the students have become the teachers.

6.Take Care of Yourself

If you want to reach a level of financial independence then you need to get healthy, and stay healthy. You can't make money if you are sick or if you are dead, so make sure that you are taking the time to really take care of yourself. This means exercising every day, getting plenty of sleep and eating right. It doesn't matter how busy you are, you do have time to do these things, you just have to be willing to make the time. There is no better investment than to invest in yourself and your health. Make living healthy a habit and part of your everyday routine, I promise you it will pay off.

7.Don't Make Excuses

One of the worst habits that you can let yourself fall into is the habit of making excuses. Financially successful individuals do not make excuses. If you find yourself falling into this habit from time to time, it is important that you find a way to stop. Millionaires simply don't make excuses. Sure you could find a thousand excuses to make every day or why you aren't working hard or making more, but if you want to be successful, you won't do it. When millionaires encounter a problem, they find ways around it, they don't give up and cover it up with an excuse. This is exactly the way you need to start approaching obstacles if you want to find financial independence and truly become a millionaire.
